Down with Butterball
Really quick late night hit to carry us into the weekend. I have a complaint I need to get off my chest. Most mornings I tend to enjoy a plethora of eggs and turkey sausage with a bit of buttered sourdough. It is quite a lovely experience. Last Tuesday, I cracked open a package of fresh links and was devastated to find inedible moldy sausages. An absolutely crushing blow that I have still not recovered from. I emailed butterball and what I was expecting was free turkey sausage for life, but what I got was much better…
Could not even round up to 5. Cheap bastards. I will not accept this. I demand satisfaction and plan to use this increasingly large platform to attain it.
Moving on…
One more observation I would like to share that I have become aware of recently is the increasing amount of people smoking weed before going into the gym. The Planet Fitness parking lot this morning smelt like a Wllie Nelson concert. Now I realize I’m attending a very public gym in Dorchester and not Equinox here, but it is still staggering to me. First off I do not know how people work out high, I did in college but who didn’t. Also, smoking that early in the morning is a wild move to me in general. Feels like you’re just giving up on the day. To each their own, but I am not so sure about those tactics to get the most out of your workout. Wait until after as a nice little reward at least. The weed is way too strong nowadays as it is.
Food for thought…since legalization new schizophrenia cases linked to heavy cannabis use have nearly tripled. Everything in moderation.
Studies of the Week: Dirty Water and Cutting Boards
Love that Dirty Water….
Study done by Oasis Health
The world's 6 most popular bottled waters tested to contain alarming levels of contaminants:
(12%) Dasani: forever chemicals (PFAS), nanoplastics
(9%) Evian: chromium, nitrate, uranium, barium, antimony
(3%) Volvic: arsenic (750x guideline), nitrate, bromide, fluoride
(3%) Perrier: chromium, pfas (17x), barium
(3%) Fiji: arsenic (250x), nanoplastics, nitrate, peas
(2%) San Pellegrino: radium 226 (28x), arsenic, chromium, sulfate
Always knew Dasani was trash. Never liked it.
I have a whole water post in the holster that will be coming soon.
Wooden vs Plastic Cutting Boards
Never use a plastic cutting board. First off, it its tacky. Be a real chef for Christ’s sake.
They are also bacteria traps. Stick to wood my friends.
Esoteric Health Tip of the Week: Nose Breathing vs Mouth Breathing
Ever hear of the term '“mouth breather?” There is a reason why…
Nose Breathing:
Increases nitric oxide
Reduces allergies
Helps your immune system
Supports proper facial structure
Mouth breathing
Increases cavity risk
Leads to bad breath
Can cause crooked teeth
Posture problems
The nose filters and humidifies the air to protect you from allergens and pathogens. Nasal breathing increases nitric oxide resulting in more oxygen.
When you breathe through your mouth, this can cause dry mouth, bad breath, and cavities. Can also cause issues with the jaw, tooth, and facial structure.
I have become much more conscious of it and I can feel the difference.

Hopefully Dan and I accomplish our goals and have a nice piece of literature for you as well as an accompanying podcast that I am sure you will all listen to.
Have a great fucking weekend.

Mouth tape has been SUPER popular lately for the mouth breathers, always scared me a little though. Great info!
