Back from the Dead
Like Christ himself, I have returned after a brief hiatus. I had some laptop issues and a flaky friend by the name of Dan who was supposed to collaborate with me. Our last try was Easter Sunday. Our aforementioned friend and soon to be laid off contributor calls me. It just so happens we are driving back from our shared hometown at the very same time. Kismet. We finally come together. But not really. He arrived at my home with his little lap dog that has an anxiety diagnosis. “Winnie” had to get home. So yet again our joint madness was delayed.
No more excuses, the April showers have brought May flowers and I will be back in your inboxes weekly to pepper in some health tips along with the occasional chuckle.
Let’s dust of the cobwebs and see how this goes…
Speaking of Easter… Eggcellent News…
Some of you may recall my passion for eggs in the form of a 4-6 egg a day habit. As well as my goal to eat a whole Ostrich Egg (Ostrich Egg Post). That is the equivalent of about 24 eggs. They are now in season and are 80$ for the privilege. So I will finally be able to complete my challenge and prove all you doubters wrong. Updates to come.
In case anyone else is looking for an ostrich egg
Workout Video of the Week: Zottman Curls
These are about as good as gets for arm development. Make sure to keep the core engaged and not cheat too much. Arms should be doing the work here
Eccentric move on the way down is great for forearms and grip strength. Rotate those palms down when you get to the peak of that curl and go nice and slow on the way down.
Do these once a week with some heavy weights and watch your arms develop quickly.
Esoteric Health Tip of the Week: Oil Pulling
started looking into natural oral health when I hated going to the dentist, but yet still worried about my teeth
coconut oil is the one to go to, I personally add in some black seed oil.
only really need to do this once or twice a week to see benefits
The instructions are simple: just rinse with coconut oil for 10-20 minutes
Study of the Week: Strength of the Mind
Bit of a complex read but shows scientifically the power of the mind. Mind over matter can be a real thing in some senses. A stronger mind leads to more physical strength.
Book of the Week: Open by Andre Agassi
One of the best books I have read in a long time and most certainly the best sports autobiography I have ever read. This is simply about a man finding his way, all beginning when he was a child forced to play a sport he hates and then would continue to hate. Read it.
Quote of the Week:
-Charles Miller
I needed one to get back in the swing so hope you all can bear with me. I’ll return to form next week. Until then, have a great fucking weekend.
